Norwood Elementary School

Norwood Elementary School is a school in the Norwood community of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It provides public education to Pre-school, Kindergarten and Grade 1-6 students. It is an old building, opening in 1909. It featured large scale renovations in 2000, while leaving most classic architecture intact. The school features a hot lunch program provided by the City Center Church Corporation and E4C. The school will stay open and inherit students from surrounding schools that EPSB voted to close.

Location and transportation

The school is on the corner of 95 St. and 111 Ave (Norwood Blvd.). It has bus routes 3 and 5 stop on 95 St. heading southbound on the school side of the street and northbound on the block across from the school. The bus route 127 stops on 111 Ave. in front of the school heading westbound, along with the 3 which turns right at the intersection of 95 St. and 111. Ave. but can be caught easily at the stop on 95 St. The Edmonton Light Rail Transit LRT (Route 201) stops at Stadium Station about 8-9 blocks from the school.
